My first trip to Uganda in 2017 changed my heart and my view of life forever. Not a day goes by that I don't think about the children and my extended family across the globe. This will be my 6th time to go to Uganda and God Cares Schools, and it's such a blessing to be able to create continued relationships with the kids, teachers, and staff and to pray for them. I've gotten to know each of the kids I sponsor and some of the kids who attend school and watch them grow physically and spiritually year after year. I can't wait to give them a big hug each time we get to go and assure them that they are loved by us and by God.
There are no words to describe what we experience in our hearts each time we go. All I can say is that the Spirit of God is present doing exceedingly and abundantly more than we ask or think, and we are blessed beyond measure every time we go. A piece of my heart will always be in Uganda, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to go again! Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here I am, send me." |
