Update on Pastor Dongo
Pastor Bethuel Dongo, the founder of Buyamba Uganda Ministry, has been going through a season of physical struggle with cancer. He has been doing very well through God’s grace and doctors’ care through chemotherapy, in spite of the fact that he was diagnosed last spring with multiple myeloma. This particular cancer is very aggressive in nature, and it has become apparent to the doctors that he needs to undergo a bone marrow transplant procedure now, while his cancer numbers are down and he is strong. We need your help.
Pastor Dongo will go to City of Hope Medical Center in Southern California for this next step of his cancer journey. There is still a large financial gap between what we have now (approximately $90,000) and what is needed this month for a bone marrow transplant in early March, which will run approximately $240,000.
This is difficult for Pastor Dongo to receive, for his heart is for the children and there is much that God can do with this kind of money at God Cares School. He also realizes that Gods vision continues to be done in and through his guidance in Uganda and there is a lot to be done under his leadership in partnership with the body of believers that have become a community of help for the rebuilding of Uganda.
We realize this is a large number to raise in a short period of time but as Pastor Dongo says so often, “With God, all things are possible!”
