The ministry has grown and continues to grow through partnerships with churches, small groups, schools, and organizations.  You have the voice in your community and if you feel led to present Buyamba, we want to provide you with the material you need to do so.  Below is a message from the Executive Director that offers a brief outline of the ministry and welcomes you to partner with us.

Dear Buyamba Friend,

Thank you for your recent interest in partnering with Buyamba.  I am so excited to have this opportunity to share with you a glimpse of what God is doing through His ministry in Uganda. Our vision is to empower the orphaned and needy children of Uganda to impact their nation for Christ and we are bringing this vision to life through our mission, to offer love, hope and a future through education and discipleship…one child at a time.

The vision of God Cares Schools came about through the Spirit working in the lives of Pastor Bethuel and Florence Dongo to help the children of Uganda rise above their desperate circumstances.  Once they realized their mission was to focus on the educational and discipleship needs of the orphaned and destitute children, they started God Cares Nursery and Primary School in 2002 in Kampala, with 97 children in the basement of the church.  The Dongo Family held tightly to the realization that in Uganda no one could advance economically without education, and no one can impact a country without the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
