Susan Harvey

I first heard about God Cares School when I started teaching sixth grade at Bethany Christian school. In my classroom, there were letters in binders from students who had been penpals with my class in previous years. One of these letters was from a young man whose first name was Ivan. I happened to see him when he came to the US for possible adoption. He later became a student in my class. I met Pastor Dongo when he visited both at Calvary Community Church and in my classroom. I’ve had the privilege to go to Uganda twice now to visit my sponsored kids, the first time was with Ivan on his return trip to visit his birth family in Uganda.
